Project 05
CCU Tracking System
A Cargo Carrying Unit rental tracker for offshore contractors that need to know which unit is available, which site it went to, how many days it has been outside, and what should be billed when it returns.
What the system tracks
Each unit gets its own identity, even when sizes repeat.
Multiple CCUs can share the same size, but every physical unit needs a unique ID so rentals, returns, inspections, and invoices stay tied to the correct item.
Unique Unit ID
Track each basket, tank, skip, or container by a clear unit number such as CCU-1028.
Unit Size
Store reusable size categories like 8 ft, 10 ft, 20 ft, or custom dimensions without treating size as unique.
Site Movement
Assign units to offshore platforms, rigs, vessels, contractor sites, or the yard.
Rental Billing
Calculate chargeable rental days from dispatch date until the unit is marked returned.
Rental workflow
From yard dispatch to return billing.
The system is planned around the actual rental loop: choose an available unit, assign it to a site, start the rental clock, update movement notes, and stop billing when the unit returns.
Register Unit
Add unit ID, size, type, certification status, and current yard location.
Dispatch to Site
Select a site, contractor, dispatch date, daily rate, and rental reference.
Track Days Out
Dashboard counts the days outside and highlights units that need follow-up.
Return & Invoice
Close the rental, record return condition, calculate billable days, and archive history.
Business records
The important details stay connected from dispatch to return.
The system is presented around the operational records a rental team needs every day: unit details, site assignments, rental activity, return condition, and billing summaries.

Private operations app
Controlled access for daily operations.
The staff version can be kept private for teams who manage dispatch, returns, billing, and reporting. The public page focuses on workflow, value, and everyday use.
Operational web app concept
Know where every CCU is, and what it is earning.
A focused first phase can cover unit setup, rental dispatch, returns, active site lists, days-out alerts, and billing reports.
